I am so sorry for not updating lately. Alexis Bledel has been busy shooting her movie Violet & Daisy. I added the missing set pictures to the gallery!

Alexis Bledel has been spotted on the set of her new movie Violet & Daisy, co-starring Saoirse Ronan. She looked amazing (and young). Her hair is different again, she is back to being a brunet and she has bangs!

Shangri-La Entertainment announced that it has completed production on “Girl Walks Into a Bar,” a feature-length film that follows a series of characters in interlocking stories taking place in ten different bars during the course of one evening in Los Angeles. By turns funny and heartbreaking, this sharp-witted comedy is written and directed by Sebastian Gutierrez (“Women in Trouble,” “Elektra Luxx”) and is produced by Steve Bing (“The Polar Express,” “Shine A Light”), Richard Rosenblatt and Gutierrez. The film will be the first major motion picture created exclusively for Web distribution.
The film’s cast of characters includes gangsters, exotic dancers and con-artists played by an ensemble, all-star cast including Carla Gugino, Zachary Quinto, Danny DeVito, Josh Hartnett, Rosario Dawson, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Aaron Tveit, Academy Award® nominee Robert Forster, Amber Valletta, Gil Bellows, Kevin Zegers, Alexis Bledel, Michelle Ryan and Xander Berkeley.
“We want to prove that Web distribution is a viable medium for theatrical quality movies which rely on story, characters and dialogue as opposed to special effects,” said Sebastian Gutierrez. “For many reasons the theatrical indie landscape has changed drastically in the last few years, leaving many potential breakout hits without an audience. We are excited to break the rules of feature films by letting people watch our movie for free online.”
“Girl Walks Into a Bar” connects a group of apparent strangers over one night across 10 bars throughout Los Angeles. Zachary Quinto stars as a dentist who teams up with a feisty would-be assassin (Carla Gugino) to put the final touches on the plan to kill his wife. Once he makes a play for the assassin’s payment, he unknowingly sets off a chain of events that fuels a cross-town journey through the many lounges, bars, strip clubs and the occasional nudist ping pong club scattered across Los Angeles. Along the way, we are introduced to a series of idiosyncratic characters, from gangsters (Danny DeVito) to exotic dancers (Emmanuelle Chriqui, Alexis Bledel), from ex-cons (Robert Forster) to cops (Josh Hartnett, Gil Bellows), with the odd hatcheck girl (Rosario Dawson) and bartender (Amber Valletta) thrown in for good measure.
“Girl Walks Into a Bar” is co-produced by Shangri-La Entertainment’s Zach Schwartz. The film’s director of photography is Cale Finot and is edited by Lisa Bromwell A.C.E. The film’s music is by Grant Lee Phillips.
I found an article in which they claim that Alexis Bledel’s new movie The Conspirator will be released in the spring of 2011.
The full-length feature movie “The Conspirator,” much of which was filmed in Savannah, will open in U.S. theaters next spring.
The true story of Mary Surratt, the only woman charged in the conspiracy to assassinate Abraham Lincoln, was directed by Robert Redford. Several Savannahians worked as extras during filming.
This is the first full-length feature from the American Film Company, a producing and financing venture formed last year by Joe Ricketts, founder of Ameritrade and owner of the Chicago Cubs.
The film’s distributors, Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions, have reached a deal for its U.S. rights, paving the way for it to be screened.
Releasing the film in the spring will ensure “The Conspirator” is eligible to make a run for major awards such as the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards.
With Redford as the director and a cast that includes Robin Wright, James McAvoy, Kevin Kline, Evan Rachel Wood, Ron Wilkinson and Alexis Bledel, the film is expected to be a serious Oscar contender.
“The Conspirator” recently had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it was warmly received. The festival is considered the first stop for Oscar hopefuls, and Best Picture winners such as “Crash” and “The Hurt Locker” have premiered there.

Oscar nominated Irish actress, Saoirse Ronan will depart for New York on Thursday, September 16th to prepare for her role in ‘Violet and Daisy’, a new feature film from ‘Precious’ scribe and director, Geoffrey Fletcher. The film, which starts shooting on September 27th will see Saoirse play the role of Daisy alongside James Gandolfini (The Sopranos), Danny Trejo (Machete) and Alexis Bledel (Sin City).
The film, written and directed by Geoffrey Fletcher, centres around Alexis Bledel’s Violet and Saoirse’s Daisy, two teenage assassins who are hired to kill a target. However said target turns out to be something neither girl expects.
The Magic Violet/Greenestreet Films’ feature is being produced Geoffrey Fletcher and Bonnie Timmermann (casting director Dangerous Minds, Black Hawk Down), with shooting to start on September 27th in and around New York. The executive producer on board is John Penotti (In the Bedroom) and Steve Kempf is the film’s co-producer.
The film will be shot by Vanja Cernjul (City Island). The budget for the feature and the theatrical release date is TBC.
Well let you know when it is confirmed.
